On November 22, the third “Dongyue Guanhai” High-Level Forum, jointly organized by Hangzhou Dianzi University and the Zhejiang Provincial Ocean Society, was successfully held at the Dongyue Campus of Hangzhou Dianzi University. The forum brought together senior scholars in the field of marine technology and industry elites to exchange ideas and discuss topics such as technological R&D, commercialization of research findings, and industry-academia-research collaboration. Participants also jointly witnessed the official launch of the Hangzhou Dianzi University Marine Technology Industrial Park.

At the conference, Wang Yulong, Director of Operations at Hangzhou Yagena Technology Co., Ltd., delivered a keynote speech titled “Practical Paths and Future Directions for the Integration of Ship Informationization with Industry, Academia, and Research.” As a representative of an innovative enterprise deeply rooted in the field of ship informationization, he shared insights drawn from over 400 successful informationization projects, covering areas such as data monitoring, data analysis, and data operations. He also introduced comprehensive product solutions tailored to various sectors including informationization, digitalization, and intelligent technologies.

In alignment with the forum’s theme of industry-academia-research collaboration, Yagena shared three successful examples of industry-academia-research partnerships, including the “AI-based Autonomous Search and Rescue System for Waterways,” developed in collaboration with Zhejiang University; the “Comprehensive Support System Based on Equipment Condition Monitoring and Analysis,” co-developed with a ship design institute in Wuhan; and the “Polar Scientific Expedition Twin Support System Based on Data Acquisition Technology,” created in partnership with the Polar Center. All three cases have successfully entered the stage of market application, providing replicable and scalable practical models that facilitate technological iteration and industrial upgrading.

The 3rd “Dongyue Guanhai” High-Level Forum serves as a platform for strategic insights, showcasing achievements, and fostering industry-academia-research collaboration in the field of marine technology. By sparking intellectual exchanges, it builds industry consensus; through sharing practical experiences, it clarifies innovative pathways. The forum aligns with the national strategies of building a “maritime power” and a “maritime powerhouse province,” providing vital impetus for the launch of the Hangzhou Dianzi University Marine Technology Industrial Park. It reinforces the collaborative approach of “universities + enterprises + industries,” accelerates the commercialization of marine technology innovations, and injects new vitality into the high-quality development of the marine economy.
